Mr. Valluvar

my 2nd poem bcoz of a bus.
but this time i got a seat ( to think comfortably! :) )
having got a seat in a bus from n.b.s to o.b.s ( new & old bus stand ), just a 5-minute travel
i saw a திருக்குறள் (thirukkural) written in the bus.
so i jus thought "i'l also write one..." & started thinking...
i didnt even think i'd come up with a 'kural' so soon...
before even i reached o.b.s...!

so here's my 'kural':

அறிவார் சபையில் தானும் இருக்க
அமைதி காத்தல் அறிவு.

It means:

In a hall of well-learned people, if u r also present,
keeping mum is the best thing to be done.

atlast i've become Mr. Valluvar...! :)

...Luck n Love...

i'm lucky to have met u...

i feel luckier to have got the strength to
propose u my love...

and i'd be the luckiest if u acept my proposal...

oh, my dear!
plz make me feel the luckiest in this whole world...!

the accidental poet...

i was abt to get into a bus to go home &
there was an unexpected rain...
was so frustrated over the rain as the whole town
gets worse abt its roads!

somehow i managed to get into a bus, with others' slippers
painting my pants with the brownish wet soil...

fine. stil more frustrating!

wit my right arm holding a rod for balance and my left arm in my pocket,
i could do nothing other than making my idle brain do some idle thoughts...
and that was frustrating, too!

a lot of topics started popuring in.
as usual my favourite mythology & even the ones i hate-like chemistry.

i never thought 'poetry' could come in!
i got some poetic thoughts which i never expected.
though it was a new entry, it jus helped me kill the time taken to reach the bus stand.

the most unexpected part was that, the poetry i was thinking of, was in தமிழ்(tamil)

a poem i thought of, and then refined on reaching home:

எதிர்பாராது வந்த மழையின்போது,
எதிர்பாராது வந்த தொலைபேசி அழைப்பு...

அழைப்பை ஏற்றதும் ஒலித்ததோ
அவளது குரல்..…

Without the significance...

i had written abt my schedule n skul n ma 1st post...

it was a time when i jus knew that i was learning
"Thaithiriya Samhita" & "Thaithiriya Brahmana" in "Krishna Yajur Veda".
nothing else did i kno abt it.
bcoz v were jus taught to chant 'whatever' was given the book.
i was comfortable with it bcoz i was able to pronounce the sounds with proper modulation.
but i never even thought there exists some meaning...

the verses start like:

ishEthvOrjEthvA vAyavasthhO pAyavasthha dEvovassavithA...

and after 7-8 years, i.e recently now, i googled to kno if there exists some meaning...

and i was very much excited when i read the meaning of the fist stanza...

the page read:

i. 1. 1.

For food thee, for strength thee!
Ye are winds, ye are approachers.
Let the god Savitr impel you to the most excellent offering.
O invincible ones, swell with the share for the gods,
Full of strength, of milk, rich in offspring, free from sickness, from disease.
Let no thief, no evil worker, h…
