Lovedale
O'ver edge of the glasses' rims Her smile ever so lovely brims Gleaming with joy the moonlit face Rushes to me. A warm embrace. Our eyes study each other leaning Pupils in them gleefully learning Speaking all unspoken love within And yet staying silent therein. We lock lips for one last time Damn it still feels like the first time! But no more fears and no more tears We lose in us a billion years. We yearn the days and nights we'd seen The years we wish there could've been We regret drifting off the crease Missing the woods for the trees. We say a word or two, no more A single wave splashes ashore. Frowning us back to grainy sands Drowning the fleeting moment's trance.
